Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004)

killbill2Starring: Uma Thurman, Michael Madsen, Daryl Hannah, Gordon Liu, Michael Parks, David Carradine

Directed by: Quentin Tarantino

R. 137 mins

A passionate conclusion that delivers the depth lacking from the previous film. After killing off most of her targets, The Bride grows closer and closer to finally killing the elusive Bill who attempted to murder her and her unborn child on the day of her wedding. While there is much less violence and a smaller body count here, the pain is much deeper after we learn more about the history of the characters. Naturally, Thurman continues to be a likeable heroine and supporting cast members deliver the goods. Some will appreciate that Tarantino opts for more talking and less turmoil, while others might find themselves missing the frenetic energy of the first part. Ultimately, Kill Bill: Volume 2 delivers a satisfying end to the ultimate tale of love, loss and brutal revenge – * * * 1/2
